Payroll Analyst III
HR Services and Integration
The Payroll Analyst III performs processing activities and provides excellent customer service to employees across RAI and its operating units. The position will work in a team environment supporting biweekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring employee pay is correct and policies are followed. Additionally, this position requires knowledge in the corporate payroll area as well as strong analytical and communication skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support biweekly and monthly payroll processing, ensuring payroll deadlines are met
Enter and monitor payroll transactions each pay period
Perform pre-processing and post-processing audits
Review and correct time and attendance entries, as required
Monitor payroll interfaces including inputs and outputs, as required
Research and answer payroll-related questions, as appropriate
Communicate to employee(s), as appropriate
Maintain employee tax records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Work with other employees across the organization and external teams to ensure proper processing of payroll and problem resolution
Safeguard and ensure confidentiality of HR and payroll data
Run ad-hoc reports to extract payroll data, as needed
Maintain accurate processing documentation
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
2 - 4 years in corporate payroll environment required
Experience with SAP Payroll (Employee Central (EC) Payroll) preferred
Payroll certification preferred (FPC or CPP)
Federal, state, and local tax knowledge required
Timekeeping system knowledge, Kronos or eTime strongly preferred
Proficient in the use of office technologies (MS Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
Demonstrated technical aptitude to understand data flow and system interaction
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven track record of continuous process improvement
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong interpersonal skills will be working with service providers and employees
Demonstrated ability to deliver high level, responsive customer service in a business environment
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of quality
Demonstrated proactive work ethic and sense of urgency to do what it takes to get the job done
